An Imperial Century

(1815-1914)

After the Battle of Waterloo Britain really did ruled the waves. For a hundred years there was no other nation that could be a match in terms of military, political or commecial power. In 1838 Queen Victoria was crowned as queen of Britain, which was the beginning Victorian era, when the Industrial Revolution was in full swing, and it led to dramatic changes in the political and social structure.
